Images not showing in site using Google Drive

I uploaded a folder containing a basic website to Google Drive and shared it publicly. Everything works except the images and I haven't been able to figure out why.

I find this Google explanation a bit confusing. I thought it was saying that I needed to change all the image source links to the full Google Drive URL instead of being relative links, like everything currently is. That didn't work. All the other links work fine. I'm not sure why the images don't. Here's the site. What does Google mean by using the webViewLink?

You have and empty "images" folder/directory. It seems you haven't uploaded the contents of that directory from your local machine.

Response by poster: That's weird. All the images are listed on my Google Drive under that directory. When I click on one from Google Drive, it opens as a document (shared).

Response by poster: I installed Google Drive on my machine and noticed that all the image files were .gdoc files after syncing. It seems this is the problem.

Best answer: I had conversion settings on when I uploaded the folder so Google Drive converted all my images to gdocs. I deleted the images and uploaded them again with conversion settings off and now they show up.
