Trans Siberian railroad

I am looking for a series of blog posts and photos on a website of a major newspaper (maybe WaPo or NYT, but maybe another) that interviewed families/communities along the Trans Siberian railroad. Published in 2007ish, give or take a year, and an earlier series was done in late 90s/early 2000s. Thank you for your help.

Best answer: I don't think this is what you're looking for but Ian Fraizer did a two-part article in The New Yorker about traveling across Siberia (behind paywall).

Best answer: Thank you both for your help. Sadly I am still searching for the article.
When I find it (I am very hopeful) I will post what I find.
Thank you to all who helped out.
