Stopover between Tamarindo and Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica
January 24, 2013 2:37 PM   Subscribe

In March we are going to be driving between Tamarindo and Manuel Antonio via 34 along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Google Maps says it's a four hour drive. We would like to break up the drive by stopping for a night somewhere enroute. We are renting houses on the beach at either end so seashore is not a priority. Ideally we'd like some kind of jungle/bamboo/eco hotel. Lots of flora and fauna.

Where would you recommend stopping? We also are interested of anywhere similar along the 239 back towards San Jose prior to departing home. I'd like one of the two nights to be jungle-y rustic. Thanks in advance.
