What is this piece of music (mp3 file)...

from the Grand Theft Auto Vice City soundtrack? The snippet is a promo spot from the Fever radio station in the game, and is not officially on the soundtrack. I've heard this song on the radio a hundred times since childhood, but can never catch the title or artist.

Will Smith used it as a sample in the song "SUmmertime", but other than that, I got nothing.

Best answer: Well, "Summertime" sampled "Summer Madness" by Kool and the Gang, so maybe that's it?

Man, best game soundtrack ever. I was too content to drive around and scan the radio than than complete any missions.

Am I crazy - because I would swear in a court of law that what I just heard is the beginning of one of the tracks on Saturday Night Fever. I recognize it distinctly -- also, the URL has the word "Fever" at the end of it. I'll do some looking, because I really think this is a SNF song.

or maybe is that a clip from the rocky 1 sdtrk??
It definitely is from a late 70's pop orchestral arrangement fromliek a soundtrack or something.

You know what - The guys up there on top are right. It's Summer Madness. I just listened to the sample at Amazon. Sorry for prolonging the discussion when it was already a done deal.
