Which scanner should I get?

I'm looking for a scanner at around the $200 range. I would like a flatbed scanner which can take 35mm and 120 film. Problem is, my eMac doesn't have USB 2.0, so many of the nice scanners they have nowadays won't connect to my machine. So, it needs to be Firewire-compatible. With all that in mind, what model should I get? Will I have to go used?

(Also, I've heard that you can't upgrade a non-USB 2.0-having eMac to a USB 2.0-having state. Could that possible be untrue? Weep.)

IIRC, USB2 scanners should work just fine in USB ports, but they'll simply operate more slowly.

You can connect USB 2 to USB 1.1. It'll be relatively slow, but it'll work.

What do you mean luriete? Mac OS X has supported USB 2.0 for two years (since the first hardware shipped), if not before.

Could that possible be untrue?

Well, you can always upgrade an eMac to USB 2.0 via the magic of eBay.
