Recommend me a mechanic in Vancouver East?

I'm looking for a good mechanic around Mount Pleasant or East Vancouver. I have a 1999 toyota corolla and honestly, it's getting to the point where I know something important is going to go.

I took a look and someone did ask this question but back in 2008. I was hoping for a more recent recommendation than that.

Fred's on Fraser St has been good for us for the last 10 years.

No specific recommendations, but the area around Clark & East Hastings is crammed with tiny hole-in-the-wall garages.

We go to Auto Repairs R Wee. Friendly and honest service. We don't actually live particularly close to this place at all anymore, but still go out of our way to get our car serviced here.
