Keymonk Keyboard, there is a trial version to try. I prefer it to SwiftKey and I haven't tried the updated built in one recently.

The article's a little dated, though, as Vlingo and Senti.Wayk aka Wayk Alarm no longer exist for some reason. However, it's a terrific list.

The compass view in Google Maps street view is a Gee Whiz demo of the N7, and I presume Android products in general (but I dunno).
