What essential hits of NOW must I have with me when I DJ tomorrow night?

Last minute gig. Fairly sophisticated audience of mid-20s onward (average age maybe 28, grad-student types). I have a good grasp of various genre classics through the years but I haven't been paying much attention to recent Top 40 essentials (the past year or two).

I add that La Roux's Bulletproof goes over best with my crowd, and Santigold's Go rather than Disparate Youth. And Janelle Monae's Tightrope or Dance or Die - I like to dance to Tightrope and am baffled about why it's not the album's dance hit.

I would like to note for the record and other interested lurkers that I just seeded a new Pandora station with 2 songs from the above lists: Skrillex - Bangarang and LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem, and it instantaneously started bringing up pretty much every nifty, earwormy, pop-dance anthemic sort of thing (Pitbull/Kevin Rudolf/Ellie Goulding/Bassnectar) that I've been hearing in cafes and H&M juniors' jeans shops for the past six months and was too lazy or otherwise occupied to SoundHound.

This is a feature, not a bug. I am old and un-hip but I still enjoy new and different poppy party-rock earworms to clean the house and work on bikes with, and this was a great way to do that effortlessly.

plus my husband just walked in while I was playing "Sexy and I Know It" SUPER LOUD and I was dancing around the kitchen with the cat because I love that stupid song completely unironically, and now they both think I've lost my mind, which is also a feature

Thank you all. Party was last night. It went very well. Ended up playing a few suggestions from this thread (I am now officially a fan of Skrillex having seen people turn themselves inside-out to it, and reminded of how hilariously great the Scissor Sisters can be).

But more important, it's been a damned fun past 48+ hours listening to all of this stuff (and various Youtube extrapolations from there). Cool fun POP music is alive and well and living the second decade of the 21st Century.
