This is not something that is broken it is obviously a feature that can be turned off somewhere. It like some type of keyboard shortcut to that symbol. posted by askmatrix at 6:48 AM on August 23, 2005

Do you mean when you type "..."? Try Tools > Auto Correct Options. It could be trying to replace ... with a single ellipsis font glyph. In the options dialog you can control what bits of text it replaces with other stuff. If you are missing the glyph it might appear as a box. posted by Wood at 7:52 AM on August 23, 2005
