Where to get a quietclassy drink in DC?

I'm looking for a quiet and classy hotel lobby in DC where a couple can have a drink tonight.

I have been to the Mandarin Oriental, and I think that would work, but I would like something new to me. And convenient to public transport wouldn't hurt. My ideal is the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago, if that helps. (Also, I am open to suggestions that are similar to but not necessarily hotel lobbies.)

Best answer: The bar at Bourbon Steak (at the Four Seasons, in Georgetown) is pretty damn classy.

Best answer: Le Bar at the Sofitel (just off the McPherson Square metro stop) should fit the bill.

Best answer: The St. Regis Hotel has a fantastic classy bar and is near Farragut and McPherson Squares. And, at 6pm, the wine director opens a bottle of champagne with a sword. Yes, seriously. It's amazing.

The bar/lounge at the Tabbard Inn is highly recommended.
