Deviantart for writers?

What's the best way to serialize my novel online?

I wrote a novel in my twenties that I remain rather proud of, but I'm writing a more mature novel now that I'd prefer to release as my debut novel. I still feel strongly that the older novel needs a home and could attract some readership and interest for my current project.

I'm still polishing the first novel, which is why I don't just publish it as an ebook. I don't feel the need to charge for it. It's literary YA and rather dark and raw. No vampires, unfortunately.

I guess I'm looking for the equivalent of deviantart but for novelists. A total newbie zone wouldn't work; I've worked hard at polishing my craft and I don't need (or want to spend a lot of time giving) Creative Writing 101 feedback. Also it's important to me that I retain the rights to publish it elsewhere, etc.

Obviously I know that I could put it on a blog, but I already have a blog and I'm afraid it would be lost there, or on it's own. Thanks in advance.

Best answer: If only this were 2003. Dark and raw YA fiction would have been right at home on LiveJournal.

Start a new blog, devoted to this singular task. WordPress. Order the posts from oldest-to-newest, maybe, with a stickied teaser of the most recent addition to keep the fresh stuff visible on the first page.

New domain name, a fully customized WP theme that matches however you envisioned the cover of this book if it had been published, the whole deal. Your novel from your twenties that you're proud of deserves no less!

Seconding starting a new blog - if your novel can be broken down into Twitter-able pieces, it would be worth experimenting with as well.
