I've always had a plan to have a white cat someday and name her Ozma, after Ozma of Oz who if I remember correctly from reading the books when I was a child, wears a white dress.

The Norwegian word for snowy owl, according to wikipedia, is kind of awesome: Snøugle. Not sure on the pronunciation of that, but if it is something like 'snew-gul', I think that is a great excuse to name your cat Snøugle the fabric softening cat.

My other half immediately and independently came to the same conclusion as sciencegeek; in addition to a snowy owl, she also looks a bit like a single tire track over fresh powder snow. Since numerous variations on "snow" and "snowy" have been suggested, I'll add the Japanese version: "Yuiki."

Just checking in to say that that is One Beautiful Cat!! She is gorgeous. Of the above suggestions, Sugar Plum Fairy was the first that made me think "Oh, yeah!" (it seems longish now, but eventually "Sugar Plum, get down off that counter!" will roll right off your tongue) with Smilla in second place.
