Help me find a YA Halloween book?

Asking for a friend: trying to remember a YA Halloween-themed book from her childhood.

She doesn't remember too much, other than it was about a girl who was forced to go to a Halloween party at her Grandmother's (or -father's?) nursing home. She read it around 1989.
