WordPress's "pages" and external editors

I have WordPress installed on a site just to post (what they call) "pages," i.e. not blog entries but just editable content chunks. But neither of the external editors I've tried (MarsEdit & ecto, both on OSX 10.4) support "pages" through WordPress's XML-RPC interface, just normal "posts." Is there any external editor that can support remote editing of pages in WordPress?

Probably not, since that's a primarily Wordpress-only feature. Are pages even available for editing via the WP XML-RPC interface? I think you're probably stuck with the WP admin interface.

They are not exposed by the XML-RPC interface. It is possible for WordPress plugins to add XML-RPC hooks, IIRC, so you could maybe collude with the developers of ecto and MarsEdit to hook into something a page-editing plugin provides.
