Can you identify these shells?

I took this photo of some shells I bought some years ago. I think I bought them from a a shop in England, but I am not sure.

I would like to know what shells they are. Can you identify them?

Zebra nerite (Neritina natalensis), I should think.

I think it's a nerite of some type. The shape and striping are characteristic, but some species have quite variable patterns. Have a look through this image search, but without knowing where they were harvested it may be impossible to pin down the exact species.

Once again, thank you for help in identifying the shells.

The photo I took of the shells is going to be featured in the Patterns in Nature Exhibition that is running in Edinburgh from 31st January - 7th April 2013, and which will be part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival 2013
