I need some suggestions for movies made fairly recently that are set in another country.

I'm writing a response for a class examining the way foreigners and foreign countries are portrayed in American films. The assignment said to analyze movies you've seen recently, so I'm not sure if the professor means newer movies or just some that I've recently watched. Any suggestions on movies set in other countries would be wonderful - even movies just having citizens from another country in America would be great too. Thanks!

Killing Zoe and The Quiet American aren't that recent, sorry meant to mention that.

Neither is Before Sunrise, but you have to watch it first and Before Sunset is really good.

The Hurt Locker, Green Zone, Men Who Stare at Goats, Rendition, Body of Lies, The Kingdom, Syriana: all set mostly or partly in the Middle East and dealing with the Iraq War/terrorism theme.

Memoirs of a Geisha and The Last Samurai, set in Japan.

The first act of The Incredible Hulk (2008) takes place in Brazil. Moulin Rouge (2001) is set in Paris (and filmed in Australia by an Australian director using American and British stars for an American production company...). The American Sherlock Holmes (2009) and sequel (2011) are set in the UK and Europe. Midnight is Paris (2011) is mostly about Americans but has some French characters. Outsourced (2006) is about India.

Some of the suggestions above might not be considered "American films," depending on how you define it:

In America is an Irish film: it was written and directed by an Irish family, filmed in Ireland by an Irish production company, with Irish and British stars.
Australia was made in Australia by an Australian writer/director, with some American and some Australian actors, for US-based 20th Century Fox (similar to my earlier note for Moulin Rouge, another Baz Luhrmann film).
Transsiberian was made by an American writer/director filming in Europe and Asia for a Spanish film company, with American and British stars.
Cairo Time was made by a Canadian writer/director, produced by Canadian and Irish companies, filmed on location in Egypt, with actors from countries including Canada, Sudan, Tunisia, Egypt, and the US.
