Where can I purchase this Sony ICF-J40 World Band Radio online and have it shipped to the United States? I believe it is made in Japan, but only sold in the Middle East & Africa.

Is there a reason why you want that particular shortwave radio?

You can get what looks like a much more recent version of the same series from Amazon.

Or something smaller and cheaper.

Agreed that they're not a particularly stunning radio - even by early 80's standards, when they were common - but if you're after one because of the style rather than for SWL, then Beliscity seems to sell them.

It's a reputable site - I've friends that buy books & stuff several times a year from there & have it delivered to Aus no probs - but you, as an American ordering from a site in Pakistan, may find things different…

I like this radio's old school look. It has a large speaker and its performance is supposed to be solid. Also, I believe the price is around $60 in the Middle East - affordable for a Japanese made radio. And I did see that Flickr thread I while back.
