Where can I find a writer to help create a band bio?

I'm looking for a writer to create a band bio, the half page extended blurb thing that gets sent out with promo CD's, used to help book gigs, etc. I've talked to the only writers I know who I think would capture the feel I'm looking for (slightly funny, geeky, and a little evil), and they aren't able to do it. I'm now realizing that I have no idea where to find someone to help write something like this.

Any suggestions for places to find writers for small projects that don't have a large budget?

Seconding CL. Search for "copywriting," weed out the SEO crap and just check out the freelancers. Ask for samples.

Elance.com has a good group of freelancers. The minimum project cost is $50.

You could post it on Metafilter Jobs. Lots of writers on Mefi.

I used to be an (unpaid, but still, I think, somewhat-decent) music writer. Here's my stuff. MeMail me if you think we could make sweet, sweet music(-al bio) together.
