Why can't I play a .ratDVD file?

I tried my vlc player -- nothing happened, and I also tried this but only the audio worked. Any suggestions?

Have you looked at this page?

Have you tried converting it back to DVD and playing it that way?

Note that what isn't obvious from the page I linked to is that those players don't automatically support playback. You have to actually install the ratDVD software from the Download section in order for those players listed to become "aware" of how ratDVD files should be dealt with.

Ironic timing. I finished a download last night and spent hours trying to get it to open in anything. Never figured it out and now have spent today converting back to a regular DVD file. It's 75% done and it's been about 7 hours so far. That's just for disc 1 of 2. Yikes.
