Question: Slideshow that plays video as well as pictures?

Looking for a semi-automatic way to create a slideshow that includes both pictures and videos, using a PC.

We just came back from Alaska, where we captured our trip with two iPhones (using internal camera, Hipstamatic [I know, I know] and a panorama app) as well as my digital SLR. I had visions of creating a carefully crafted slideshow using iMovie or something similar, but post-vacation Real Life has settled back in and due to the overall volume I'd rather be realistic with my free time but also create something to show friends and family who are interested. A slideshow is easy enough, but I'd really like to play videos in it as well.

Ideally, I'd like a way to play a simple slideshow of my pictures & videos, but it doesn't look like any internal programs like Windows Media Center play videos in their slideshows. I tried using the internal Movie Maker program, but my digital SLR photos - even at a reasonable size - crashes it every time.

So what I'm looking for is either software that will play BOTH pictures and videos in a slideshow - be it a way to get a program I already have (I use a PC) to do it, or available software I may not know about that could help.

Thanks so much!

If you have a recent Photoshop, they edit video now.
I only recently discovered this.
