Question: PLZ HLP, MMS.

Why does this strange thing happen ONLY when a certain person sends me an MMS?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone. I have tmobile.

When most people send me an MMS message and I want to save the content... a box comes up asking if I want to save it and save it as "xyzfrompersonsphone.jpeg" -- whatever the unique file name was from THAT person's phone.

I can change it if I want, but it arrives with the name it is sent as.

When one specific person sends me things... the file ALWAYS ALWAYS shows up with the box popping up and saying "imagejpeg2.jpg"

... even though when I've asked them they say on THEIR end it has a completely different file name.

Strangely... its the same situation in reverse.

They have a galaxy s2. Sprint.

Whenever someone besides myself sends them something... the file arrives with its respective file name.

From me? "imagejpeg2.jpg"

WHY? And how do I fix this? It didn't happen before when I had a different phone. But I'm not sure that's why its happening and if so how to change it. It's annoying.

Any chance you and the other specific person share a minutes/data plan?

What SMS apps are the two of you using? Stock, or some third-party app?

We don't share a plan.

We are just sending the messages through the phone's messaging app.
