.rtf editor for iPhone?

I'm looking for a simple text editor app for iPhone that is able to edit .rtf files.

Ideally it would be able to sync with Dropbox as well. I'm having a surprisingly difficult time finding such an app... has anyone else run into this? The closest I've been able to find is Textilus, but it's for iPad only.

Have you tried Notesy? It's a universal app for iPhone and iPad. Syncs with Dropbox and Supports rtf files. I can then see the notes I saved from Dropbox with ResophNotes on a Windows PC or Notational Velocity on a Mac.

Hope this helps.

Response by poster: Both Nocs and Notesy look great, but as far as I can tell they are both able to only view .rtf files, not edit them. I have a number of .rtf files in my Dropbox folder that I'd like to be able to open and edit on my phone, but I think these two apps can only open them... I haven't tried them yet, so I might be wrong, but I'll try them and see.

Best answer: as far as I can tell they are both able to only view .rtf files, not edit them

I created an .rtf document in Word, uploaded it to my Dropbox account, then opened it in Nocs. It defaulted to the formatted version. But tapping the pencil button switched to the raw code beginning:

{\rtfl\adeflang1025\ansi...

This code was editable and savable.

MobileFolio; it also encrypts files in AES-128 and 256 for Dropbox sync.

Whoops - it only views RTF. Essay supposedly can, but it's unavailable in the US.

Response by poster: You're right Egg Shen, I just tested it out and it works great! Need to learn a bit of how it handles formatting, but I think this will do just the trick! Thanks a lot!

Essay got bought, I believe by evernote and the code was to have been incorporated into their app.
