Can anyone help me find an internet puzzle or riddle involving the US states?

A few years ago, there was a list of states floating around the internet. I remember that each week or month, a new state would be revealed on the list and if someone got the sequence, they would get a cash prize. I remember it being on Google Answers, with a $200 price tag, but no one on there could answer it. I also remember seeing that this list started from a worker in Microsoft (or another big company) and it spread outside the company's limits. Can anyone find the list?

Argh! Now I've got my heads racked over that puzzle.

Has the answer ever been revealed? It seemed that after all this time, all the states would have been revealed already.
