Genesis revisited

Could someone tell me the origin of this?

I've found it on the web with no attribution, but I seem to remember it's from a book by Alan Coren, an editorial writer and book reviewer from Punch. Anyone know what book it's from?

Could it be "The New Extremely English Bible"? I used "Search inside this book" at amazon.co.uk to take a look at the table of contents for "The Alan Coren Omnibus".

Yes! It's Alan Coren. I have it in his collection "Bumf", which was released way back in... oh, the seventies or eighties. I'm so pleased someone found this on the web.
