Lost from 70s classic Scifi?

Does anyone know of any influence from Philip Jose Farmer's Riverworld series and Zelazny's Creatures of Light and Darkness on the tv show Lost? The joining of the two seem very likely sources for the show's concept.

I agree that Riverworld feels like an obvious influence. I found this blog post, where the blogger also did some googling, but nothing conclusive came up.
