What is this odd, spindly, fern-leaved flower with giant pods?

It's growing in a sunny location half under a hydrangea in Zone 7A of the northeastern US.

Its common name is love-in-the-mist.

Yes, I was thinking Nigella, aka Love in the Mist at the florist.
