Please help me identify a strange, retrofuturistic van that I saw.

A very odd, striking van drove by me yesterday. I've never seen anything like it, and I'm really curious to figure out what it was.

It had an Omni-esque late 70s or 80s sci-fi look to it, like an old Previa mated with a TNG shuttle. Wide, long, and boxy, with rounded corners. Sized like a very large van or a small bus. The windshield sloped down at a severe angle to a flat front - no hood, or not much.

There was an identifying logo on the rear panel, lower right corner. It was a script face and the word started with V.

This was in League City, TX.

So, hive mind, what did I see? Thanks!

Was it an old Japanese mid-engine van? There are pictures of a Toyota and a Mitsubishi about a quarter of the way down this Flickr discussion.
