Recommendations on kid friendly email groups

I would like recommendations on "kid friendly" email groups and listservs for my 9-year old son.

My tech-savvy son wants to get more email, and I thought getting him signed up on a kid friendly and kid safe list would help fill his inbox. His interests include LEGO, Macintosh computers, and film making.

Specific suggestions as well as pointers to listserv lists we can browse through are appreciated.

Yahoo Family is the only "safe" e-mail for kids... and it allows parents to keep an eye on what kids are upto.

Because of COPPA, there just aren't a lot of options for kids out there on the internet.

But definately check out Yahoo Family for setting up an e-mail account and finding different kid-friendly activities on there.
