Lost Mid-2000s Daily Blog

What was that daily blog from a few years back where every day was something like "Happy Kill Your Parents Because They Won't Let You Go to the Big Dance Day" or "Happy You Paid Off Your Mortgage with Help from the Mob and Now You Have to Whack a Guy Day" it was super well-written and funny and dark and I'm pretty sure it was done by a guy named Bob. I'd like to know what he's doing now.

(pretty cool to see this still around! I used to follow this on livejournal of all things, and lost it for a few years, so thanks!)

For cross-ref purposes, I posted this to MeFi back in 2002 at its original URL, which apparently got seized by someone who posted all of three semi-nekkid pictures of…pretty girls.

I feel like the above link is ripped off from a book, but I can't remember the title. A friend of mine had a copy back in 2006-07. Written in the same voice and style.

deathpanels, the blog author published a book in 2006 called Happy Cruelty Day, maybe that's what you're thinking of?

Bob Powers also published a choose your own adventure book which I really enjoyed called You are a miserable excuse for a hero. It's written in the same tone as the blog, so you might like it too.
Whoa, and looking at his website, now that book is being made into a movie. I wonder how they are going to do that with all the alternate endings etc... Weird.

I paid him to write a girls are pretty style birthday story for my girlfriend. Totally worth it.
