Help me find my lost snowman!

In a fit of donation madness, I donated a stuffed animal and now I really miss him.

The stuffed animal in question came from Toys R Us, circa 2003. He's Animal Alley brand, and was originally a Christmas present from my mom.

A picture of him can be found here: the snowman in question. (If other pictures are desired, I have more, because apparently my brain knew I'd want them.)

I feel like I've reached the end of my searching abilities (Ebay has a similar snowman, but the hat is wrong), and I'm starting to fall into the world of weird, sketchy auction sites (they have a picture! With the right hat!). At present, Craigslist hasn't helped.

Any other search options out there (and/or do you have one like him), or is my snowman gone forever?

Thanks!

When was this donation and who or what did you donate to?

Have you tried contacting Toys R Us to see if they might have any in stock or know where to find them?

If you act now, you can buy him for $40 bucks on eBay here.

Ah, nevermind. I see that you've already seen this one and the hat issue. Sorry!

Any chance you can buy him back from where you donated him?

Apologies for my useless cut and paste but I found him, yay!

Best answer: If you can't find an exact snowclone, ask your mom or other close relatives to buy & give you an almost-match, like this one. (If it's pricey you can give them the money, or better yet trade for cookies or something.) It won't be your snowman, but as a gift from the same people with similar love behind it, it can be his snow-sibling. And since the colors are different you won't look at him thinking "Impostor!!"

Yes it sounds silly, but beloved objects are irrational like that. My most beloved childhood possession is a raggedy stuffed rabbit I got for Christmas from an aunt & uncle when I was five. They still own a near-identical (but less raggedy) stuffed rabbit bought at the same time, and we joke that they're holding it in reserve in case mine ever perishes in a house fire or similar.

Response by poster: Not one week after I settled for the "cousin" snowman, an exact replica turned up. So now I'll have both, to satisfy my snowman loving heart.

Thank you for all of the love and responses!
