Help me find a specific book!

I'm looking for a fiction novel I read in the early 90's. I think it was called something like 'Wire World'. Set in London, present day, about two opposing groups who got around via secret zip-lines attached to the buildings. It was written by an ex-screenplay writer. I remember it being a fun read and would like to find it again. No such luck with the Google, you're all I've got to turn to, askMeFi'ers!

Best answer: Yep, definitely Roofworld by Christopher Fowler. This review (from infinitywaits' link) mentions the zip-lines.

In case it's of interest:
This was Fowler's first novel, and he's since become a rather prolific novelist. These days he writes mostly crime, and although there's never been a sequel to Roofworld, this review on Goodreads points out that a few of the police characters turn up again in his ongoing (and excellent) Bryant and May series.
