Where would I find good examples of portrait sculpture in NYC?

I'm taking a course and would be interested in seeing interesting or inspiring examples (realist preferably).

Thanks.

Well, the Met is going to have a lot of great examples.

The work of Saint-Gaudens is what you're looking for, both at the Met and around Manhattan.

There is a huge Picasso sculpture in a courtyard off of Bleecker Street, a couple blocks west of Broadway. You can't miss it, it's a woman's head and neck sculpted in stone about thirty feet tall.

New York Academy of Art, Graduate School of Figurative Art would be a very good place for you to check out. Definitely one of the best schools I've attended. http://nyaa.edu/nyaa/exhibitions/index.html
