Oh, I forgot to say that not only does it back up everything, you can boot to the backup. It has saved me more than once. posted by 4ster at 6:43 PM on June 13, 2012
SuperDuper, as handy as it is, is not an online backup tool.
My apologies. I missed the online part. posted by 4ster at 6:53 PM on June 13, 2012
Oh, I would definitely still recommend having a SuperDuper clone around locally! Since there's no Time Machine in 10.4 it's a great alternative. posted by bcwinters at 6:55 PM on June 13, 2012 [1 favorite]
I use Mozy at home, and it supports 10.4. posted by 4ster at 7:51 PM on June 13, 2012
I'm using CrashPlan for my online backup, and I'm happy with it. Two people I know who had to do significant restores from CrashPlan backups both raved about it.
(I also use SuperDuper.) posted by jeri at 11:23 PM on June 13, 2012
I use and recommend Backblaze and have about 150GB backed up (I've only had to restore a couple of files once but it worked fine). posted by samj at 5:34 AM on June 14, 2012
Backblaze is not compatible with OS X 10.4, it requires 10.5 or higher. posted by bcwinters at 10:20 AM on June 14, 2012
