I'm trying to install some web-blocking functions on both Internet Explorer and Mozilla, but can't seem to get what I want. I'm blocking IE through restricting the content directly on the Options tabs, and using Leechblock for Mozilla. So talk to me like I'm stupid ... what I want to do, simply, is block all .com domains, except for 2 or 3 specific sites. Why can't I figure out how to do this?

If nothing else needs internet access, you can set the DNS server setting (in your Network Settings - TCP/IP setup) to a dummy address, 127.0.0.1, and set the domains that you do want access to in the Wndows "Hosts" file. This way, the computer will never be able to look up the IP address of the domain name, unless it's specifically added to the Hosts file.
