What's the jaunty song in this trailer that kicks in right around when Bob says "I've been shot down, bloodied, accused, threatened, disgraced, betrayed"?

I don't know, but looking at the soundtrack listing of the movie on IMDB, the first three songs appear to be songs that could qualify. Just a guess...hopefully someone else can help.

Yeah, you can listen to the whole soundtrack here, but unfortunately the song in question is not on it (nor does it appear in the movie).

Preview-music often has nothing to do with the actual movie, so I doubt you'd have much luck with that route anyway...

This sounds really familiar for some reason, but I can't put my finger on it...

The place I usually go for trailer music, SoundtrackNet, is coming up with zilch.
Just a warning: you may be chasing after music that was created exclusively for the trailer. Still, it sounds a bit like a remix/cover a Moby song...

The book resurrected the man and reconstructed the myth: "I've been shot down, bloodied, trampled, accused, disgraced, threatened, betrayed, scandalized, maligned," he wrote toward its exhausted conclusion. "Tough? Sure, but I ain't complainin'! Nothin' comes easy...Imperfect? Very! Do I like myself? Finally! Do my detractors bother me? Hell no! It's their problem, I ain't gonna change. Resolve: Fuck 'em, fuck 'em all."

I think it's entirely possible that these were incorporated into a song after the fact (and it sounds familiar to me as well), but I'm pretty sure that he wrote them for his book originally.

psmealey, I don't think anyone thinks that those words were part of the song; I assume they are just a sound clip from the movie played over the background music.

I'm sure that's not Outa-Space at the end there. I think that hototogisu is probably right and it's stock music that the trailer editor just used in the ad.

The stock-music thing makes me kind of sad...I keep hearing Dead Can Dance's "Host of Seraphim" of late, a song I love--the only problem is that it usually means the movie is a bag of shit. :-/

I think it's the instrumental track for U2's 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".

Really - listen for the Edge's distinctive rhythm guitar riff.

it's not u2 ... but it's a recording arranged to sound very similar to that song ... my guess it would have been done like that for the trailer

I gotta get my hearing checked because, to me, it sounded like Tom Petty's "The Waiting is the Hardest Part". The instrumental part.
