Tips for moving from Winnipeg to Edmonton?
I'm moving from Winnipeg to Edmonton in early June, and am looking for advice. Specifically recommendations for a moving company, or opinions that UHaul or similar is better? Tips to make things a bit smoother? Must-dos and do-nots?
I have a queen-sized bed, small love seat and an assortment of clothing and kitchenware-filled boxes - not that much, but more than when I've moved before, stuffed into a small car or truck. It'll all be going to an approximately 600-foot condo on the 6th floor.
I don't own a car right now, so packing that or towing a trailer isn't really an option.

The other answer of course is: if it costs more to move your stuff, than it would to buy it new in Edmonton, then just sell your stuff on Craigslist and use the money to buy a new bed and love seat.

Welcome to Edmonton!
Personally, with that amount of stuff, I'd go with uHaul or something similar. Especially if you can take the bed frame apart, it should easily fit in out of their smaller vans. Or, if the furniture isn't pricy, buy new or over Kijiji when you get here.

I sent away for their information and I got a DVD and a bunch of really helpful advice (we ended up not moving, but I'd use them next time I have a long-haul move.)
