Keep your head in the ballgame ...

I am helping coach my son's summer all-star team and I need situational baseball videos, both good and bad examples, ideally available online and free.

I want videos that show players making good plays because they were paying attention and the other guy wasn't. An example of this would be the recent 2-5-6-3 Dodgers/Padres triple play.

I also want videos of plays that wouldn't have been successful if they player hadn't been hustling, like Sid Bream scoring from second to beat the Pirates in 1992.

Plays from any era, any team, any level of baseball are welcome.

These are within the last week. Hard to remember specific plays too far in the past.

I'd actually suggest that your triple play video isn't a great example of that--the home plate ump seems to signal that the ball is foul and the play is dead, which is why nobody runs (and why the runner called out at second is so demonstrably upset).

Here's an example of a head's up play from last night's Giants-Dodgers game, though it's not necessarily an example of one team falling asleep, just a nice play from Loney.

The hidden ball trick is always a fun example of one player paying a little more attention than the other.

The play at 1:01 in this clip is one of my favorites - Vizquel throwing to third base out of NOWHERE to nab a guy by a few inches.

Here's another: Throwing a guy out on an intentional walk.

Response by poster: ElCuadrangular: The reason I believe it does qualify is that the defense kept playing because there was doubt. I've seen too many kids be out at first because they were unsure what the call was.

That said, that Jason Werth play is *exactly* what I'm looking for. Thanks.
