How do I grow Cestrum Nocturnum?

Help me grow my own Lady of the Night!

So there's this Cestrum Nocturnum bush in my neighborhood. The flowers are recently gone and now there's berries all over it. Most are green but a few have turned white. I took a white berry, opened it and inside there were two tiny black seed-like things. I put them in a cup with wet toilet paper a couple of days ago but so far, nothing has happened. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better way?

Best answer: According to eHow you should wait for the pods dry out then you plant the seeds. If you really want a start, talk to the owner about putting a small paper bag over a section so you don't lose the seeds.

Google "starting night blooming jasmine from seed" or "propagate night blooming jasmine" for more info.

Response by poster: I was using the wrong search terms, thanks for the tip!

For future reference: I saw the berries start out green and turn white after some time. I figured that this meant they're ripe but it appears that you have to wait until they're dark and wrinkly.
