Should I condition my leather jacket with dubbin?

I've just bought some dubbin to condition my boots and it occurred to me that I'm just about to move from the tropics to much cooler, drizzlier climes. Should I also condition my leather jacket with dubbin, and if so, how often?
If much cooler drizzlier climes means the UK invest in some Ko-Cho-Line when you get there.

Response by poster: Is Ko-Cho-Line the same thing as RM Williams Saddle Dressing? The ingredients of Ko-Cho-Line are listed as "red grease" but this is both not enlightening and difficult to google for.
