Looking for a new TV

So I'm looking for a new TV and of course I want the most cost effective for my needs. The thing is I will use it exclusively with my HTPC which is connected to my surround system, meaning I don't need sound, a smart TV, hard drive, 3D, Internet or networking capabilities or any sort of receiver. All I really need is kind of a big computer monitor. It should of course have a great picture. Can you recommend me something? Price can be up to 600€, size around 40-42 in., for screen type I don't have preferences (not beamer).

The Wirecutter likes the Panasonic ST30 Series.

Response by poster: Just found the Samsung LN46D630, CNET had this to say about it:

One of the most common requests we hear at CNET is for a TV that has good picture quality "without all that extra crap" (or words to that effect). Said extras included on many TVs these days include Internet connectivity and 3D, as well as an LED backlight for LCD models. Samsung's LND630 series comes pretty close to that no-frills ideal, delivering picture quality that's a match for many of the best LED TVs we've tested this year at a price that reflects its relative lack of extra features.

Exactly what I was looking for, sadly it is not available in Germany.
