What's Koorkka in Karnataka

Question for Kannada speakers.

I'm looking for the name of a root vegetable called koorkka (കൂർക്ക) in Malayalam, siru kizhangu (சிறு கிழங்கு) in Tamil, and often called Chinese potato or coleus potato in English. I know it's called something like sambrali in Kannada, but I've seen enough variants not to be sure, and I really need the correct spelling in Kannada script.

If you're curious, I'm asking because I'm working on this article.

I assume you meant "Karnataka", not Kerala. I'm not a Kannada speaker, but will check with a Kannada-speaking friend and report back.

Best answer: From my friend: Chinese potato is called Sambrali in Kannada. In Kannada script: ಸಂಬ್ರಾಲಿ
As you mentioned, there could be slight regional variations in spelling/pronunciation.
