Name of performance artist who photographed herself in disguises?

Trying to recall the name of a performance artist/photographer. She used disguises (prep, ghetto, etc.) to pass as a member of various in-groups. Then she photographed herself socializing in these groups.

Is that ringing a bell? I believe she did this project, oh, 9 or 10 years ago? I'm guessing she was in her 20s then.

Ah, beat me to it! I saw these at a Hirshhorn exhibit a while back.
