The ballad of what's-her-name and what's-his-name

Singer/album identification: Young female singer who collaborated with an older male arranger/composer.

(I believe he was a family friend). He created very ornate orchestral accompaniment from the demos she sent him. His arrangement is more classic movie score than Beethoven. I listened to it on Spotify a while ago and can't remember any more than that. Any ideas?

Best answer: Joanna Newsom, Ys, arranged by Van Dyke Parks?

Response by poster: Not Joanna Newsom, but Van Dyke Parks was the arranger. The singer was Inara George. Thanks!!
