Books on technologies' effects on education?

Know of any books that look at the effects of technology on the delivery of education?

I'm looking for a book that examines how the adoption of new technologies like writing, reading and eventually the printing press and the internet changed the educational environment for students and teachers. A broad historical survey of the topic would be most helpful, but individual books examining the effects of specific technologies like the printing press or writing would be welcome, too.
