How can I transport Dippin' Dots?

I bought several servings of Dippin' Dots to take home and I'm worried about them melting. I plan on carrying them in an insulated container, but I'm afraid it won't be enough. Is there anything I can do to preserve the dots?

Pack 'em in dry ice?

How far are you travelling with them? A ten minute drive? Two hours? Six hour flight?

Add a bag of ice to the insulated container.

Omaha Steaks sends frozen meats in styrofoam coolers packed with dry ice. The contents stay frozen for 12 hours, minimum.

if you've already bought them, I'm guessing they are soup by now. However, if you haven't . . .

I don't think it is possible to just use a bag of ice to keep dippin dots. It might stay frozen but it will probably lose the little dot shape. Dry ice might work, but I don't know. Better choices would be to locate some closer to home on the Dippin' Dots site, they have kiosks EVERYWHERE and even vending machines in some movie theaters, etc., OR order dots on the site, the will probably reach your front door in better shape than a DIY transport effort.

Since they're the ice cream of the future, you may need a time machine. If you can't get your hands on one, use dry ice.

Dry ice. This site purports to tell you where to find it.

Make them from scratch at home with liquid nitrogen (google it).

Put a vacuum-insulated thermos bottle in the freezer and pour the dots in there once it's cold. If you want to, you can then wrap the bottle in ice or dry ice and insulate further outside of that.

Can someone please explain to me the appeal of this "dessert of the future"?

They're dots.

They let us feel nostalgia for an earlier time during which the future was a delicious scientifically-mediated treat. (And they're tastier than astronaut ice cream).
