NotSoHumbleDilettanteBlogosphereOpinionsFilter: So, at noon today, Blair called out the attacks for disrupting the G8 agenda today, namely Africa. What, if any can be speculated, effect might this have on proceedings in the G8?

If the attacks were scheduled to occur alongside the G8, which I personally believe they were, I don't think the reasoning was any more elaborate than "Everybody will be paying attention to the G8, let's get the most attention possible."

That is, I doubt it was intended to mesh politically with the G8 proceedings themselves.
