My mac keeps crashing

I'm having trouble with my mac powerbook crashing, specifically after it awakens after having gone into sleep mode. It does this when in firefox and I save a tiddlywiki page, or when I'm in word and try to save a document. I'm using OSX version 10.3.9.

Open:

Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal

and type the following:

sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist

Reboot and open System Preferences to reset your Energy Saver preferences.

Response by poster: Didn't work. Still freezes every time I try to save a document after it wakes up.

Quit any open Office applications.

Open:

Users -> username -> Library -> Preferences

and drag the following to the Trash:

com.microsoft.*.plist (files)
Microsoft (folder)

Then restart Word etc. and see if your computer continues to crash on wake.
