What is the opening song in Stalag 17?

There's also a version of it in Die Hard 3 when the dump trucks were getting loaded...

In HS, we sang a bawdy version to this tune on our way to rugby games that starting with "Three (British soldiers Argyle Students) went to war taboo, taboo.../ so (a la ze ka?) so kick my ass taboo..."

Thanks!

It's not "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" is it? The first line of your marching song matches for syllable count... annoying midi sounding rendition here.

Yes, thanks jperkins!

(They actually sung the song later on in Stalag 17 and I *just* googled it - wow, we butchered the lyrics all to drek and back...)

Oh, yes... "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye" is another version (lyrics) to the tune. Apparently it's argued which one was first, or what the significance of using the tune (sans vocals) means...
