Theater venue: A director friend of mind is looking for a venue to produce Woyzeck in in NYC. They're a small company so can only afford something in the $1500/wk range for something like a 2 week run. Any suggestions on good venues to rent from?

Ideally we're looking for a space in the 40+ seat range, with a grid and sufficient power for a standard light rig (maybe even a few lights and a board too) and decent access to subway lines to attract audiences. Any thoughts on good venues or resources we can use to start looking?

Shetler is pretty standard for this sort of thing.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a 'good venue', but it's cheap and very convenient.

No idea what their rate is, but the Tank has hosted some low-rent-type of friends.
