Copying Skype

I have Skype on my computer, want to have the program on an external hard drive, too. Is it as simple as finding the (24 MB) file on my computer, creating a folder on the external drive and copying the file into the new folder?! Big thanks for your help.

It's not quite that easy, as there are some data files that need to be moved as well. You can try the PortableApps version linked by devnull, or try these instructions. I did the latter a while ago, and it works well.
